In the quiet hush before sunrise, when the world holds its breath between night and day, a single Bayon face tower begins to rise — not from stone, but from stillness itself. From the heart of a lotus pond, it emerges with the gentleness of a whispered prayer. The water, tinted with sapphire and emerald light, reflects a truth older than kingdoms: peace is not found by seeking, but by remembering.

I designed this piece as a tribute to the subtle but unshakable strength of the KHMER spirit — a strength that does not roar, but simply is. The Bayon’s serene face, warm with ancient stone hues and soft touches of moss, gazes inward with half closed eyes, as if listening to a wisdom carried through centuries. A faint golden glow encircles its crown, signifying spiritual royalty — not the rule over lands, but over one’s own inner world.

Around it, the lotus pond blooms in quiet triumph. Pink and white petals open across the calm surface like soft lanterns, each one a symbol of awakening rising from the depths. Some stems stretch upward from below, reaching through the clear water toward the light, gentle reminders that enlightenment always begins in the unseen places.
